Mystery Team is finally coming to DVD. That’s why we’re here right now, talking about it. Next Tuesday, May 25, Mystery Team will be available for purchase online and in stores. So for the next seven days, we’re going to bring you a countdown in the form of articles that will inform, enlighten and perhaps entertain. The folks from Derrick Comedy have released a brand new theatrical trailer for their upcoming film Mystery Team, one of my favorite films of 2009 thus far. As you will see in this new green band trailer, there are plenty of hilarious one liners — some of which will make you laugh without any context at all.

More exciting news from our friends over at Derrick Comedy today, as it has now been announced that director Dan Eckman, writers/stars Dominic Dierkes, Donald Glover and DC Pierson, and producer Meggie McFadden will be appearing on a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con next month.

One of my favorite things about attending Sundance is the opportunity to meet and see filmmakers who are genuinely excited to bring their film to the public. Among this year’s entries is Mystery Team, a dark and clever comedy from the Derrick Comedy group, a troupe of comics on the verge of a major breakout.
