Welcome to FSR’s newest weekly feature in which I break down the good, the bad, and the ugly of what Hollywood has to offer.

What can I say? It was another winning performance at the box office for Tina Fey as Baby Mama won with an $18 million gross. And as usual, it was another losing performance at the theaters for Harold and Kumar, whose Escape from Guantanamo Bay wound up trailing in second with $14.5 million. But don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll do well on DVD.

If you want a film to have this many twists, it’d be best to not name the movie Deception. That would be like naming Citizen Kane something like It’s a Sled or renaming Psycho with Norman Bates is the Killer Who Dresses Like His Dead Mother.

Enjoy this drinking game, and you might be wearing the goggles that turn someone like me into Huge Jackman.

This weekend looks to be a bit of a disappointment at the cash register, I am sad to say. All the die-hard movie fans out there would really like to see Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay do well, but it has stiff competition from Baby Mama and from Deception, the other new movies this weekend.

After a botched flight to Amsterdam, Kevin and Neil are sent to Guantanamo Bay… then escape back to the Magical Studio in the Sky.

Deception is a sexy, intriguing thriller that features the acting talents of Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor. It also features the alluring tandem of Michelle Williams and Maggie Q.
