Forest Whitaker Has Fun With Bad Accents in Trailer for ‘Catch .44′
Movie News By Kate Erbland on November 14, 2011 | Be the First To CommentToday in trailers that make little to no sense – Aaron Harvey‘s Catch .44! Big bossman Neil told us a smidgen about this film back in July of last year, when cast additions Nikki Reed and Deborah Ann Woll were announced – and while that piece of news sold the film as a lady assassin flick, there’s not much of that to be seen in this first trailer for the film. Leading lady Malin Akerman is indeed front and center, but she looks like less an accomplished assassin (with an equally as talented and attractive crew backing her) and more like a pretty gal trying to make a quick buck with a big gun. But, hey, Bruce Willis is there doing an older Dov Charney impersonation, along with Forest Whitaker having a whole bunch of fun experimenting with some truly bad accents. Guns! Drugs! A secluded diner! Confusion and hijinks! After the break, try to make heads or tails of the first trailer for Catch .44.
Fantastic Review: Mother’s Day (2010)
Fantastic Fest By Robert Fure on September 26, 2010 | Comments (2)When it was announced that Darren Bousman (Saw II-IV, Repo!) was going to helm a Mother’s Day remake full of hot actresses I, like many horror fans, was psyched. The original is by no means an amazing film, but it’s actually one of the better Troma releases and has something of a cult following behind. Bousman himself turned out a few good entries in the Saw series and the surprisingly entertaining Repo! The Genetic Opera, plus both Deborah Ann Woll and Briana Evigan were cast. With the cards seemingly stacked in its favor, settling in for a midnight screening at Fantastic Fest, I was surely in for a good time, right? Right?
Episode: “Night on the Sun” (Season 3, Episode 8) Synopsis: Sookie reevaluates her relationship with Bill while Jason takes the next step forward with Crystal. King Russell makes a move on Sookie while Alcide is away and Eric plays two gambits with bloody results. Review: Finally! A fantastic episode. While season 3 has been good, it was far from great in my opinion, until tonight. Sure the werewolves are still pussies (I have to say that every review, contractually) but there was a lot going on this week that was very engaging.
