Announcement of ‘Death Race 3′ Means ‘Death Race 2′ Probably Exists
Movie News By Cole Abaius on December 30, 2010 | Comments (9)Somewhere out there, right now, possibly near you – there’s a movie called Death Race 2 completely existing. It’s not completely confirmed, but Universal announcing that they’re making a Death Race 3 either points to the second film in the series being in a reel canister somewhere or that the film franchise will only be naming films based on prime numbers. All of this is apparently warranted because Death Race made an unnatural amount of money in the foreign market. That was back in 2008. 2008! It feels like it was ten years ago. Fortunately, we’ll get that nostalgic feeling for 2008 all over again when Death Race 3 (and possibly Death Race 2) hit home entertainment discs of all kinds. [Moviehole]
Comic-Con 2010: Shout! Factory Goes Big with Roger Corman
Comic-Con 2011 By Robert Fure on July 21, 2010 | Comments (3)There are few things in life I enjoy more than a horror movie filled with ridiculous kills, outrageous monsters, and utterly gratuitous and indefensible amounts of nudity. Naturally, I’ve long been a fan of the late night master Roger Corman, a Horror Hall of Famer responsible for writing, directing, or producing some of the most amazing movies ever to reach the screen. Now, I don’t necessarily mean amazing as in “good” but rather “amazing” as in you will feel amazement. Maybe from the plot. Maybe from the dialog. But when you watch a Corman flick, you definitely feel amazed by what you’re watching. Youngsters that many of you in the digital age, you may be unfamiliar with the bulk of the 389 films Roger Corman produced, but that’s all about to change. The fine folks over at Shout! Factory, in a bit of brilliance that has answered at least three of my prayers, are presenting the Roger Corman Cult Classic Collection.

Death Race 2008 May Look Better Than the Original, But It Smells Worse
First Look By Rob Hunter on May 29, 2008 | Comments (6)A remake of Roger Corman’s 1975 classic Death Race 2000 should be a no-brainer. Fast cars, loud guns, campy characters, and politically incorrect humor should be a recipe for guaranteed entertainment. So why do I get the feeling this year’s Death Race remake will be a no-brainer in a completely different way?
