Welcome to what is sure to be another depressing week of box office predictions here at the Reject Report. Depressing because, well, we all know who’s going to win. Even if we all go see Saw V several times in a row, we won’t be able to halt the inevitable.

It turned out to be a brutal weekend for new releases — and for everyone at the box office, generally. Everyone, that is, except Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

A stumbling block for myself as a big, fat American who doesn’t understand all the nuances of Middle Eastern politics is that the movie was often hard to follow.

Even though devout Muslims aren’t allowed to drink, you can when you go see Body of Lies.

Just because the Oscar train is getting ready to leave the station, that doesn’t mean that every upcoming release is going to be a 3-hour long heavy-handed drama. There are still plenty of must see movies — plenty of action, plenty of comedy and plenty of popcorn butter-flavored goodness.

Without question, this proves once again that the full trailer is always much better than the teaser. It looks like we could actually have a really good international spy thriller on our hands here, a subgenre that all too often gets mishandled.
