I consider myself to be pretty much in tune with pop culture, at least as far a movies go. But just this week, something came out of nowhere and smacked me upside the head. That thing was Twilight and the buzz surrounding this book-turned-movie phenomenon.

And its true, I have always fronted as an anti-TV, pro-Cinema goon who hypocritically owns a nice HDTV and subscribes to HD cable. This weekend, the mecca of geekdom was the Drexel Theater in Columbus, Ohio. More than 300 people gathered for 24 hours of science fiction movies. Several of the Rejects were in attendance to enjoy the good, the bad and the ugly that science fiction cinema had to offer.

We’ve received reports that tonight during the season premiere of Battlestar Galactica, they will have a preview of Iron Man.
At the recent up-fronts for the Sci Fi Channel, producer David Eick, who was integral to bringing the brilliant re-imagining of Battlestar Galactica and the canceled too soon Bionic Woman to the small screen, announced that this project is in the works.
