Welcome to the post-Summer Movie Season edition of the Reject Report! And you sure can tell it’s the post-summer edition, because there’s NOTHING on tap this weekend.

It’s pretty obvious that people out there across North America are just movied-out. Everyone is just sick of movies. They are too busy vacationing/watching college football/fleeing hurricanes to bother with the latest junk at the theaters.

As a notch in Vin Diesel’s action film belt, it serves its purpose. But come Halloween, I doubt anyone is even going to remember this film existed.

There’s a lot to be concerned about Babylon A.D.: no screenings for press… late August release… Gérard Depardieu in crappy prosthetics. To get through this dreary look at our world’s future, you might just have to numb your brain a bit.

Neil and Kevin’s claws come out for Disaster Movie, the most accurately named film of the year. If only Peter Dinklage were in it, it might have been better than Postal.

Please note the question mark in the title above as there has been no official announcement regarding Vin Diesel playing a super villain in the Marvel universe… but that may change soon if he has anything to say about it.

You’re looking at these offerings this weekend and you are ready to throw up your arms and say in vain the words “Jesus Christ!” (Just kidding. Actually, Jesus does make an appearance this weekend, in Hamlet 2.)

Vin Diesel’s been to Babylon and back, now, in spite of the odds, he’s ready to continue the Chronicles of Riddick.

Matthieu Kassovitz is an unhappy Frenchman. He is unhappy because, as he explains, his upcoming film Babylon A.D. starring Vin Diesel is a big pile of crap, thanks to some bad handling by 20th Century Fox.

To put it lightly, Vin Diesel would not appreciate being called a “bitch” in any forum. And in this little video, he lays down the smack on a few of this summer’s blockbusters.

Vin Diesel’s new film Babylon AD may be another anti-hero post-apocalyptic action movie, but it does have two things that interest me: a strong base in genetic engineering and a hot French lady.

Is it just me, or does Vin Diesel play the “reluctant hero” in just about every single film. As further evidence, we’ve got a look at the first English trailer for his upcoming film Babylon AD.

For whatever reason, we haven’t been covering Mathieu Kassovitz’s science fiction saga Babylon A.D. very closely on the site. Maybe it was the presence of Vin Diesel.

It’s hard to get really excited about the film, seeing as we have seen almost nothing about it, but it does have a pretty cool look to it so far.

Do you remember back in the day? Back when Vin Diesel was making films like Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick? Back then he was on the verge of being cool with the fanboy population. Then he made films like xXx and The Pacifier and we all lost hope. Still, the thought alone of Diesel headlining a Babylon A.D. flick was enough to pique the interest of some.
