Box Office: Harold and Kumar Get Stoned Again, This Time By Baby Mama What can I say? It was another winning performance at the box office for Tina Fey as Baby Mama won with an $18 million gross. And as usual, it was another losing performance at the theaters for Harold and Kumar, whose Escape from Guantanamo Bay wound up trailing in second with $14.5 million. But don’t worry, I’m sure they’ll do well on DVD. By John Cairns on April 27, 2008 | Comments (2) |

There’s a lot of love out there for Tina Fey, and for good reason. She’s a funny, funny lady. And her presence and influence in the new film Baby Mama is easily what helped this film not become lost in the wash of pregnancy movies we’ve had over the past year. The Reject Report Escapes from Guantanamo Bay This weekend looks to be a bit of a disappointment at the cash register, I am sad to say. All the die-hard movie fans out there would really like to see Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay do well, but it has stiff competition from Baby Mama and from Deception, the other new movies this weekend. The Ten Hottest Baby Mamas in Movie History When I first saw the trailers for Baby Mama, I couldn’t help thinking how many other movies have pregnancy in the story somewhere. And since I’m a bit of a pig (yeah, I went there), I couldn’t help but think how many of these pregnant characters were hot. By Kevin Carr on April 24, 2008 | Comments (9) |

My greatest fear for Baby Mama was that it would end up being another incarnation of The Brothers Solomon, but with women. Thankfully, Tina Fey and company are smarter than that, and Baby Mama turns in a surprisingly good showing. By Neil Miller on April 24, 2008 | Comments (3) |
