Kevin Carr’s Weekly Report Card: September 24, 2010
Features By Kevin Carr on September 24, 2010 | Be the First To CommentThis week, Fat Guy Kevin Carr is coming at you in eye-popping 3D, and like money, he doesn’t sleep. He sets his time machine way way way back to 2002 to pick on Kristen Bell in high school. The story is loosely chronicled in You Again. Kevin also practices some insider trading with Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps then takes flight with a bunch of CGI owls from Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole
Be Prepared For ‘Boy Scouts vs Zombies’
In Development By Cole Abaius on September 15, 2010 | Be the First To CommentIt’s unclear what’s so dramatic about the project titled Boy Scouts vs Zombies. We had to deal with the undead every year at summer camp (they ate all mustard on hot dog day and hogged the archery range). Plus, on top of the rotting campers that wanted to eat your brains, there was always a blood-thirsty killer snipe on the loose. He’s probably still out there. Seriously. Go find him. Director Andy Fickman has been tapped to helm the project that has only revealed its great, high concept name so far. Fickman, in case you don’t recognize the name, is the man behind She’s The Man and the director responsible for emasculating The Rock in The Game Plan and Race to Witch Mountain. His previous work is all pretty light fare, so it might be interesting to see what Fickman plans to do with the inherent gore of zombies. Unless he makes it light and family friendly. [Collider]
Premise for ‘Gimme A Call’ Will Make You Punch A Wall or Teenage’
In Development By Cole Abaius on March 24, 2009 | Comments (6)Apparently teenagers are so panicked in this brave new world of technology, that a senior in high school needs help from herself as a freshman to find her joy for life again. If that sounds convoluted, it probably should.
The Rock as Race Bannon, Zac Efron as Jonny Quest?
Casting Couch By Cole Abaius on February 16, 2009 | Comments (22)I don’t know either. I just don’t know. Should I be excited about an adaptation of a childhood favorite despite the casting?
