Warners Exposes The Gritty Underbelly of the World of Weapons Manufacture Acme Co.
Movie News By Cole Abaius on October 26, 2010 | Comments (5)It’s pretty clear that Warners is continuing the slowly eked out death cry of the Looney Tunes franchise. Brendan Fraser hanging out with Bugs and the gang was a disaster, but that won’t stop them from trying to shove once immortal characters into the cultural landscape. Neither will the fact that wearing Taz on your shirt to signify you were cool went out around the same time as that shirt you owned that explained that you “ran with the big dogs.” Alongside Mike Myers voicing Pepe Le Pew, Warners is also looking to take a look into the company that created every faulty product that’s ever appeared in a Looney cartoon. On the optimistic front, staging a film inside a factory that’s clearly insane is not a bad idea (it could have given more life to Extract), but the track record on these films hasn’t been stellar recently, and Kevin and Dan Hageman (who pitched the project) are completely untested with audiences despite having a handful of scripts in development that involve Legos). An Illustrated Catalog Of ACME Products
Officially Cool By Brian C. Gibson on June 27, 2008 | Comments (4)I’m sure anyone can remember the classic ACME products that the Coyote tried using to capture the Roadrunner. A giant rubberband, lead bird seed, whatever.
