I always find it odd when people whine and complain and bash a movie before it appears for months on end, and then suddenly everyone has a big change of heart at the last minute and sees it. Such is G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra.

Kevin Carr breaks down the week’s releases, looking at G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Julie & Julia, and A Perfect Getaway.

Kevin throws some hatred Neil’s way for being one of the few critics in the country to be allowed to see G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA. They put their differences aside for a brief moment to discuss the alien holocaust movie known as Julie & Julia.

I have this to say to all you people out there who spent hundreds of millions of dollars on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and claimed you loved the action and effects. All I have to say to you is simply this: see you all at G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

The summer’s almost over, and so far it’s been an incredibly mixed bag movie-wise.

A new trailer for A Perfect Getaway has just premiered online, and while it’s too early to tell for sure, it looks like writer/director David Twohy may have a winner.
