Summit Entertainment has set a release date for their Twilight sequel, New Moon. The film will bow November 20th, 2009, the same pre-Thanksgiving weekend occupied by Twilight this year.

Sure, Twilight successfully lowered the bar dramatically when it comes to the quality of bestselling fiction and film. But it also may have put a stop to an unnecessary remake, so that’s a plus.

Kevin and Neil swoon over the CGI Disney dog and show their fangs about a certain high school vampire. Neil gives some love to the new Star Trek footage while Kevin proceeds to offend him with some smarmy suggestions about the forbidden love of Bella and Edward.

This movie was so close to being fantastic that it’s even more frustrating just how cringe-worthily awful it is.
