Highbrow humour is not the film's strong point but there's no faulting the sincerity of this against-all-odds comedy.

Jon Heder was even Napolean Dynamite-esque in the romantic comedy Just Like Heaven. Although he showed some more maturity he was still pretty goofy, odd and a loner like NP.

I have a theory about Jon Heder…

He is doomed to constantly have to relive Napolean Dynamite. It is truly sad, but it is reality. You see bits and pieces of it in this film. The question will become: How quickly can he break free?

Sweet, Napolean Dynamite is cool. I still say this movie’s brand of childish humor is all me, i just cant see paying 8 bucks to see it. It’s a rental for sure.

Did you happen to catch the episode of SNL that Jon Heder hosted? He couldnt get his lines straight and screwed up 60% of the time. It was just plain good.

The sad part about Jon Heder in this movie… he is about 80% Napolean Dynamite and 20% “special olympics.” Sad to say, but it is true.

Rob schneider is the “you can do it” guy in every adam sandler made and produced movie (waterboy, little nicky, happy gilmore, the longest yard, and conversely not punch drunk love (a paul thomas anderson movie)), and conversely, adam sandler is the “you can do it” guy in most rob schneider movies. It’s a bit of a running joke. I still bet that i will like this movie, because it’s fun of watching jon heder try to NOT be napolean dynamite.

Nice review Neil. I was looking forward to this film since i’m a fan of benchwarmers, Spade and Schnieder, and was hoping it would be funnier. ah well, i’ll definitely wait for NetFlix
