The mere notion that one of the characters should find redemption proves the reviewer just doesn't get it – and as far as the question of the contemporary value of a satire on American society having no sense of accountability… um, hello, did you notice the nature of the present economic crisis and the legal wranglings of the US administration these last 8 years?

I disagree and aparently I'm the only one but since i watch movies apparently that alone qualifies me to be a critic so…… I saw it at Sundance and i thought it was visually remarkable and had some very good and some really great performances. Stop whining already, just because all the little details weren't tied up neatly in a bow for everyone. It's entertainment and this was thouroughly entertaining.

To be honest I don't really think they've ever managed to properly adapt any Ellis novel. American Psycho was the best try yet but that's only because of Bale's performance, the film as a whole was pretty disappointing.
Still, I had hopes for this one. I had hopes for all of them but it's no surpise.
