We pretty much agree, though. It’s a movie perfect for its audience. It has some good parts – I thought Blake Lively’s character’s story was emotionally difficult and acted out well – but I had trouble with some of the more outlandish stuff that goes on.

SPOILER ALERT – that’s right, a spoiler alert for Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II: Return of the Pants.

Flying on whims to Greece? Hopping around the country with ease despite having school and jobs and all that? It got to be a bit much. I could also almost, almost stomach the idea of all four girls being 1) decently nice 2) all friends who just happen to 3) have the most amazing opportunities in life ever and can 4) drop those opportunities whenever for other unbelievable opportunities. I could almost handle that they were all in Ivy League schools or doing NYU film school or off to Turkey for exotic Archaeological digs or at exclusive acting summer stock, but then the random Greek fisherman gets accepted to London School of Economics at the end? Why didn’t they all just get their own mermaid when they jumped off the cliff into the water at the end? Why didn’t one of them solve world hunger?

Everything else was, you know, pretty decent. It deals with some serious issues – so that’s kinda cool. Plus, the structure is really interesting. The four stories are all told in such quick sequences in order to keep the flow going. This comment will stand as my review.
