Spiderman 3 did a kind of similar thing in where they introduced lots more humor and funny bits to it but that just fell flat on it’s face. Transformers actually worked. This, along with the effects, action and down right craziness just blew me away.

Some people will hate this film. They’ll probably think its to unreal, or hate the fact that theres no character development or something. Those people need to let themselves go. The film is pure entertainment. And the best blockbuster I’ve seen for ages. People need to realize that it’s based on a cartoon and action figures. Stuff that’s made for kids. Not adults.

Also, transformers is know more for it’s figures and cartoon rather than the comics. From what I remember anyway. And comics usually have lots of different dimensions to them. Being clever in there use of social/real life issues etc. Action figures and cartoons, especially the transformers ones, were straight forward. And didn’t need to have depth. This was good vs evil remember.! In that respect I don’t think you can fault the film. It didn’t try and be anything more than it was.

This was a big money making American action film and I know many people don’t agree on these type of films but if there was ever an example of how to do it right them this film would be it. Pure escapist fun.

Id rather eat my own hat than watch this film again, it was total rubbish!!! I actually wanted to leave I was soooo bored!

Yes this film had cool special effects, probably some of the best ive seen BUT most of this film consisted of utter rubbish and cheese and the kissing on the car with the sun going down at the end made me wanna claw the eyes from a small infant.

The fight scenes were messy too, you could barely make out who was fighting who and at no point did I see anything imaginative!

This is the worst film ive seen all Summer.

If you liked Pearl Harbour (piffle) you will love this film!

I suggest alot of people need to go watch some real films before suggesting this film was in anyway good!

overall the film had everthing it needs, if the director focuses on one part too much he loses his audience, bay had to take into consideration that not everyone going to see this movie is going to be a transformers enthusiast like myself and many others, if it was purely a single fight between megatron and prime then it would completely reject a good 30% of the audience who came to see a movie.

This film needed to make you feel like you were 10 again and sitting down watching the cartoon useing the words “cool” and “wicked” and if you didnt watch the cartoon, you now wish you had!

Just to solve the whole “VW beetle should of been bumbleebee” issue not a camero,
Bay wanted BBee to be authentic but VW refused to let him due to them not wanting one of there cars to be portrayed as violent and destructive although they had forgotton where the beetle had originated from.

At the end of the day the film clearly shows what it set out to, autobots vs decepticons and earth stuck in the middle. people need to remember we are sometime now since transformers first took our hearts away. and the story needed to be updated to match society as it is, as we all know if a destructive alien race did come to earth the first thing we would do is fire a missile at it and if that dont work a bigger one!.

overall the story line has its blips but with some very small improvements needed the actors were cleverly chosen and matched the story, as i cant imagine sylvestor stallone trying to cut megatron open with a knife.
