I saw it yesterday and thought at no times was it boring. A significant step up for director Gavin O'Connor from Miracle to Pride and Glory. I agree with Eugene in the sense of it is not for everybody but if you like dramas and in perticular cop dramas then this is a good one. It is gritty and tough but not tough to get through.

i have yet to see this, but you can't attack this movie by calling it the same as We Own The Night, both were actually made at the same time and the studio decided to hold off releasing this movie at the same time as We Own The Night. So while you can attack the studios for greenlighting two movies that are similar, you can't blame the movie because one studio released it later than the other

totally agree with this review. Pride n Glory is basically a rehash of the old good cop, bad cop routine seen in movies like We Own The Night.
in fact, to quote a certain democratic candidate...

Sigh. Do we really have to sit through this movie AGAIN? I literally just saw this same movie made last year, only titled We Own The Night with Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg. Dear Hollywood filmmakers, please wait at least a few years before remaking movies. Better yet, try not to remake movies, especially movies that weren't very successful to begin with, thinking that a change in actors and title is going to help the cause.
