It is interesting that Hollywood is casting this as "Frost/Nixon". When the actual interviews were being televised back in the '70's, they were consistently referred to as the "Nixon/Frost Interviews."

I've never been one for political movies but in essence Frost/Nixon is something much more. Gripping and brilliantly paced, I couldn't get enough of this mental slug fest. I don't see ho this could be better in any way, Ron Howard has taken his directing to the next level with this film.

I'm definitely on board for this being one of Ron Howard's best achievements, if not the top of the mountain for him. Usually I have a problem with his pacing, an overwhelming tendency to take things too slow and try to milk meaning from unnecessary moments, but in "Frost/Nixon" he moved right alongside a spectacular script and elevated a story about two guys sitting across from each other in a tiny house in the suburbs and made it more exciting than nearly anything else he's done.

As for Langella, he performance was truly memorizing, but I'm not sure if he has the momentum right now to overcome Mickey Rourke or Sean Penn. For me, I'll actually be pleased where ever it goes because all three where extremely worthy performances.
