this movie was terrible. it DID try too hard. i was thoroughly disappointed and i LOVED Crank 1. in the end, its just a movie they would show to the main character in A Clockwork Orange, Crank 2 is the quintessential modern day example of “ultraviolence” in my opinion.

great review Mr. Miller. I love it and completely agree with you, even though as I said in my own
review there were some moments I didn’t like/dig, like the big Statham dream fight sequence.

You gave this film an awesome review. So, why a Grade B? Thought for sure you would have given 'Crank, High Voltage' a B+ or A-. What kept you from doing so? PS. We loved it!!!

Before I came to FSR I worked a lot of press junkets as a Set PA then Asst. Coordinator for video shoots. At the junket for Smoking Aces we were talking about similarly visual films and Crank had recently come out, so I brought it up, asking if anyone had seen it. A few had and as I was about to say how much I hated it, a rigger piped up and told me how innovative it was and how it was going to change the face of movie making and his best friend Mark (Neveldine) directed it. That was when I learned that when you're in Hollywood, you need to watch your words. A lesson I quickly forgot as soon as someone started asking me to spout off on the internet.

All that bullshit aside, I didn't like Crank but I do want to see Crank: High Voltage. I'm what you'd call stupid.
