True, the film is a little long, and it loses momentum at one stage, but generally speaking this is a most enjoyable return to what was once the cinema’s most popular genre.

I saw this movie yesterday, and agree with almost everything you’ve written here. I loved the New Mexico setting–I could almost smell the dust in the air! Harris and Mortensen were wonderful in this, and the pace of the film is just what would be expected in a small town in the Old West.

Viggo is such an amazing actor. I’m glad Ed Harris asked him to be in this film.

Looks like its gonna be a great movie. Harris and Mortensen were great together in A History of Violence. And I couldnt agree with you more about Zellweger. Shes a horrible actress. But I love westerns, especially movies that seem similar to this like Tombstone and 3:10 to Yuma. Ill stomach her role to see this.
