True, the film is a little long, and it loses momentum at one stage, but generally speaking this is a most enjoyable return to what was once the cinema’s most popular genre.

I saw this movie yesterday, and agree with almost everything you've written here. I loved the New Mexico setting--I could almost smell the dust in the air! Harris and Mortensen were wonderful in this, and the pace of the film is just what would be expected in a small town in the Old West.

Viggo is such an amazing actor. I'm glad Ed Harris asked him to be in this film.

Looks like its gonna be a great movie. Harris and Mortensen were great together in A History of Violence. And I couldnt agree with you more about Zellweger. Shes a horrible actress. But I love westerns, especially movies that seem similar to this like Tombstone and 3:10 to Yuma. Ill stomach her role to see this.

You had me at 'Jeremy Irons,' but it's awesome to see some classic Western roots hitting the big screen again.
