This story was moderately entertaining, but within a few minutes you know where it is headed. It might have been more up to date if the rich and politicians had headed to outer space to save themselves, the Noah's Ark thing was pretty lame.

2012 is well made spectacle. It's finely crafted trash. It's in on the joke, and it's laughing along with you.

My favorite part of this movie is that you laugh at the absurdity while literally billions of people die...

Ah yes, massive coincidences. My old friends. We meet again. How've you been? Still irritating and a sign of lazy writing? Thought so.

The first movie of 2012 is actually pretty fun. The second full film that's included is one long chore with 5 more characters than anything like this really needs.

Turns out that Pirate Radio is the best disaster film coming out this weekend.

Are all of this guy's movies (more or less) the same? Entertaining epic scale sci-fi pieces? Hey, I wish I could make this kind of money making the same movie over and over again.

"2012: Time for Change"
projects a radical alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee Joao Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 will herald the birth of a regenerative planetary culture, where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.

Interviews with design scientists, anthropologists, physicists such as Dean Radin, Barbara Marx Hubbard, John Todd and Paul Stamets and celebrities such as Sting, Ellen Page and Gilberto Gil.
