I agree with you except for the part where you say that the main characters made a "dumb move" by going back for his would-be girlfriend. Maybe you have never been in love? Think of it this way...

Rob had just lost his brother, Lilly had just lost her fiance and Hud and that other girl were just stuck in the middle of it. They were scared and didn't want to leave their friends, while Rob and Lilly virtually had nothing to lose. If I were in Lilly's place and I watched my fiance die in front of me, I would have lost interest in my own well being, too. At that point, you really just lost your future family, and in a time like that it's a devistating blow. I definitely think she wasn't thinking of her own life at that point, but was instead working towards helping Rob, because he had not lost the one he loved yet.

Seriously, maybe you have been in love, or maybe you just have had different types of love than what I have experienced, but I know that I would do whatever I could to save my fiance. You can believe that or not, it doesn't matter to me, but I know that I understand why Rob and Lilly went back for Beth. Hud and that other girl I think were just being good friends and probably were scared to leave them. I think Hud stayed to take care of that girl that he liked, and that girl, I have no idea why she didn't get out when she had the chance. That's the only thing I'd say wasn't believable, because she didn't even know them that well, and she didn't have feelings for any of them. So that I didn't get.

Overall, I thought the movie was okay... I am more interested in knowing about the monster and where it came from than just watching the monster kill off a small group of friends. But that's just my preference.

I enjoyed it, too. I did get a little nauseated once or twice, but nothing major. It wasn't nearly as bad as Blair Witch for me.

The part about those who like it must hate Felicity made me laugh. I hated Felicity!! So you may very well be right!
