The Dark Knight Defaced Poster

If you’re anything like me then you are counting down the hours until The Dark Knight is released. Well, it looks like the Joker has the film on his mind too. He laid waste to all the promotional items that Warner Bros. has put out for the most anticipated movie of the year, as you can see here.

The marketing campaign of The Dark Knight ranks as one of the greatest strategies I have seen, right up there with the promotions for the Blair Witch Project. I love the original posters but I think the Joker’s defacing gives them a little bit more personality. If he gives up his gig as Gotham’s best class of criminal I bet he could land a gig as an interior designer. The man clearly has an eye for decorating.

You can go to the official site, as well as all the viral marketing sites to see more of the mayhem the clown prince is creating. And make sure and check out FilmSchoolRejects all week. We’re your official guide to The Dark Knight and we”re just getting started. To see more of the posters, head over to IMPAwards.com, our favorite poster site.

Big Word, It’s hard to remember a film I have been as excited to see. Pan’s Labyrinth is probably the last one I got really jazzed about, but nowhere to the degree of this one. LO, thanks for the update on its success.
