Poster Frenzy: AVP: Requiem, Virgin Territory, M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening

For this week’s Poster Frenzy, we’ve got a wide range of posters from a wide range of films. To start, we’ve got yet another poster for the forthcoming Alien vs. Predator: Reqiuem. This is one movie that could become the guilty pleasure favorite of 2007. The poster pays homage to the extreme over-the-top nature of the film, although I would have liked to see them keep with the Christmas theme — maybe a wreath or a Santa cap for the Predator or something. Next up is Virgin Territory, which may appear to be a teen sex comedy starring Hayden Christensen. Then again, if you read the plot summary — “Young Florentines regale one another in the Italian countryside while the black plague decimates their city.” — you find that it is a little bit of a tangent from say, American Pie. Either way, I’m interested to see what Mischa Barton is doing being that sheet… (via MoviePosterAddict.com)

And finally, we have the latest in the line of vaguely tag-lined posters from M. Night Shyamalan. The Happening is about something that invariably happens. Allegedly we knew it was coming, saw the signs and now it is really “Happening”. In the end, I’m sure we will all discover that we are really already dead. (via ComingSoon.net)

The Happening teaser looks good. The other two look horrible, even though I’m really excited about AvP2.
