New Wanted Poster Sports Tats and Scots

The new Angelina Jolie/James McAvoy action romp, Wanted, just released a new poster from the New York Comic Con, though by all accounts not the official one-sheet. Latino Review posted it and all I can say is McAvoy looks weird with a gun. Jolie looks like she’s at home—tattoos, firearms, fierce looks galore—in this one-sheet, but Scottish actor McAvoy kinda looks like a Nancy. The poster also irritates me slightly because they just took Kate Beckinsale’s pose from the Underworld poster and added some stupid tattoos.

Anyway, Wanted, which hits theaters late June, is based off of Mark Millar’s graphic novel about a league of super-villains. The movie, however, is based around assassins and doesn’t take place in a world super heroes and villains co-inhabit. McAvoy plays a guy that has perfect aim, and can apparently curve bullets. Although that MAY seem like it breaks every law of physics, at least it’s an effect we haven’t seen before. Then again, maybe we haven’t seen it before because it could be construed as ridiculous.

Nevertheless, the trailer shows us Angelina’s naked back and contains awesome voice-overs by Morgan Freeman. Staples of modern-day cinema. You can catch Wanted June 27th.
