Whoever took the time to write this article is a dumb tool. I cant believe you expended so much time and effort to try and defend overweight people. I myself am overweight and was not the least offended by this mock trailer. I thought it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen, and would actually love it if they made a real movie based off of this trailer. Why dont you get upset at Eddie Murphy or The Nutty Professor? They actually made a whole film based around obesity and fart jokes, at the expense of overweight people. You need to learn when to draw the line between actual insensitvity toward a certain group of people, and the comedic genius of making a mock/fake trailer. Learn to not be insulted or serious about something lighthearted. BTW, why didn't you write about the gay bashing that took place in the very next fake trailer. Grow up and learn to respect comedic genius.

Fat people, smokers, crack-addicts, etc should be made fun of, otherwise how will little kids know what they should or should not do? When I was a child in the 50s there was hardly any fat kids. Today when I look at my grand-daughter's schoolyard, it is filled with rotundoes. The trouble with schools today is that they are too politically correct, they don't make enough fun of fatsos. If they did, perhaps kids themselves would be telling their parents they want to eat better foods and exercise more.

There's obviously not enough peer pressure.

As for smoke nazis, yeah, that's a horrible thing, trying to convince youngsters that smoking is somehow bad for you.

Honestly, my family is very much overweight as a whole. I worry about becoming heavy set in years to come all the time. BUT, i work to prevent it from happening. I play water polo, ice hockey and run track. That's just teams. I play basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball and football with my friends all the time. I eat right. I work out. I often get bored and go for a 7 mile run. Not many people are victims of obesity, most bring it upon themselves by overeating and not exercising. To be honest, if it were a racist joke or one that made fun of the mentally or physically disabled it would be a big deal but if someone doesn't like being made fun of for being fat they should fix it. Diet, exercise, take steps to improve your health in general and if you wont you have no right to complain. I don't mean to be insensitive but I know if when I hit 50 I'm my father's size I brought it upon myself.

I'm fat too. Get over it, it was funny. If anything i think it was more of a stab at Eddie Murphy than fat people. All the trailers were there to represent big hollywood actors. Over dramatic. Too many sequels. Ridiculous product placement. And the desperation for the spotlight in playing too many characters. And yea fat people are funny. I'm freakin hilarious. It's a movie. If it offends you then don't watch it. And especially don't waste your time trashing it.

for the record, i consider myself overweight for my age and height, and i am actually very self-conscience. i do however think that however overweight i may be or think i am, i would still find this funny. its not even really a joke about fat people, its a joke on the nutty professor (which i love btw) for sure.
