Top 10 Reasons to Hate Alec Baldwin

As you might remember, I have already ranted and raved about how much i hate Alec Baldwin. In my editorial, appropriately named I Hate You Alec Baldwin, I give some valid reasons to hate the man. In light of recent events, I must revisit this topic. If you have not heard the very interesting voice mail message that Baldwin left his 11 year old daughter Ireland, just go here. Any man who calls his daughter a pig and says that she doesn’t have brains, needs to be hated by the masses. Thankfully, I’m here to help.
#10 - His official website
My hatred for this “actor†began when I first visited his official website. The first thing that caught my eye, was the welcome message: “Welcome to the Official Alec Baldwin website. This is the only authorized website for one of the entertainment industry’s most recognized actors.†Can he get sued for false advertising? Navigating this site without laughing is truly an exercise in self control. Garnishing the site is an assortment of flamboyant Sears Photo Center portraits that make Baldwin look like a desperate shaving cream model.
#9 - Because he is a hack actor
Why would Alec Baldwin not want his fans to know about the genius he exhibited in other stellar roles of the 90’s such as The Shadow, his role on “Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends,†or his unforgettable six episode endeavor as the host of the hit TV show “Raw Footage.â€
#8 - His stinking desperation
Alec’s roles in Nickelodeon’s “Fairly Odd Parents†and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie were possibly efforts to expand his acting prowess, or possibly just he needed money after his divorce with Kim Basinger.
#7 - His Henry Hyde comment on Conan
Not many people remember his comments on the lost Conan O’Brien episode on December 11, 1998 when he made a statement regarding the impending impeachment of President Bill Clinton, which he later referred to as a “parody.†He said that “if we were in another country … We would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their homes and we’d kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families.” NBC has promised never to re-air the show.

I think that about covers it.
#4 - His overblown sense of self-importance
The Internet Movie Database recognizes Alec’s involvement in almost 80 different roles since 1963. Though according to his official website, Baldwin has only been involved in 7 films. It is clear from the exceedingly selective filmography exhibited in his official website, that he only wants fans to recognize certain roles.
#3 -The raspy voice acting
Why is your tone of voice always low, scratchy, and menacing? Try some halls, and maybe your throat will clear up.
#2 - The Man Carpet on his chest
I hate your man carpet that you always so confidently find a way to expose during photo opportunities. For the sake of mankind Alec, button your top button and find a home in a cave without the means to communicate to humanity.

You really love him, don’t you? You spend all day fantasizing about his “man-carpet” — you wish you could roll around on it. Mmmmm….smell his sweaty man carpet…rub your face in his manliness.

I don’t get it dude. People call their kids names all the time… they even spank them once in a while. Why should Alec Baldwin get the special hate treatment for it? And who could ever take seriously such a comment like the one he did on Conan O’ Brien, it’s so profoundly over the top. Plus, the guy has an opinion (vulgar, simplistic, politically incorrect it’s irrelevant) and he expresses it in the Public Sphere via blogging, talk show hosting or going against people who represent what he opposes. He’s got balls below that man carpet. I was totally indifferent to Alec Baldwin and you turned me into a Baldwin fan. Thanks Brian for opening my eyes for i was blind and now i can see…

6 REASONS TO LOVE ALEC BALDWIN:
1) 30 Rock - the Man’s funny. End of story
2) State and Main - Brings total gold to Mamet’s comedy as well as exec-producing
3) Glengarry Glen Ross - Bring the ass-kickage to yet again more Mamet.
4) Clerks: the Cartoon - Made Leonardo Leonardo awesome.
5) Saturday Night Live - Has hosted 13 times and has a standing invite to do it anytime he wants
6) Dick Cheney - Alec had this to say about the VP, “(Cheney is) a lying, thieving oil whore and a murderer of the U.S. Constitution”

I definitely have to agree with writedawg and #5 on his list. Alec Baldwin is arguably one of the best guest performers/hosts on SNL ever.

Alec Baldwin is so bad, I don’t even like his brothers anymore. I used to like Daniel on Homicide, but he stinks now also.
I agree with Brian that Alec Baldwin is a crappy actor and the only way I can stand being on the same planet is if I completely ignore his website, his movies, his TV work. If he’s a guest on any talk show, I don’t watch it.
Except I’d like to see Craig Ferguson get hold of him — that’s one I’d watch.

I’m so glad I found this website. I hate him too.
He’s a big foul mouthed jerk who is cruel to his own kid and he’s the biggest liar when he says he loves her so much he just wants to be with her. That’s so he has someone to belittle. I hate people who feel superior to others by belittling them.

Everyone should stop being so jealous of Alec. It is so very obvious. HE IS THE MOST HANDSOME, SEXY, CHARMING, SUPER-TALENTED MAN !!! Some people’s jealousy is just so obvious !!! I think America is confused. We say we care about child abuse and neglect and then when someone on TV is abusive and neglectful of their children we’re willing to give them a pass. Just ask any welfare mother or poor father what would happen if they left a threatening message like the one Alec Baldwin left for his daughter. They would lose custody of their children. They would be investigated for child abuse. The message that Alec Baldwin left is very, very disturbing on SO MANY levels. First he talked to the child as if she were an adult. Then he verbally abused her. Then to add insult to injury, he demanded that she be available to him so he can “straighten her ass out.” I thank God Kim Basinger is her mother and doing everything she can to protect her daughter. The man is dangerous and not fit to parent. If you’re really against child abuse, America, then stop watching his show 30 Rock. Stand up for little Ireland. She’s the one that deserves our compassion and support.

I’m incredibly annoyed by Baldwin as well, mostly because of the roles he plays.
As to who he is in real-life, I don’t have much of an opinion. I don’t know him. Y’all don’t know him. But regarding his characters…. I definitely avoid anything with him in it.
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF
His Saturday Night Live work. The Schweaty Balls sketch is classic. One of SNLs best, and I’ll always respect Baldin for that.

You know, I really don’t watch things with Alec Baldwin in them. Typically the shows that he stars in are…well…bleh to start out with.
That said, I actually LOVED ‘The Shadow’. It’s one of my favorite super-hero movies; much better than the tripe Hollywood is spitting up now *cough*Fantastic Four*coughcough*
Interestingly enough, I found this website in an effort to find a place to watch ‘The Shadow’ online. Odd how that sort of thing works sometimes….

oh and to the person who said america should stop watching 30 rock to end child abuse: kill yourself, thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. if you wanna stop child abuse boycotting a show with an actor in it who was taped yelling at his kid ,you were probably dropped on your head by your neglectful parents. EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP ACTING LIKE THEY “KNOW” CELEBRITIES. you dont know them, you dont know shit, you get little snippets from their lives which are often misconstrued half-lies. their purpose is to entertain us with their acting not have their entire lives under a microscope.
