Also in at least one point of the film, you can SEE the Time Turner around her neck. I believe it's during the introduction of the hippogriff. Not a complete cop-out, but done much better in the book. Unfortunately dumb America didn't like it and during test screenings they were forced to change it. That's why during the credits we see Ben Stiller in a fat suit and says something along the lines of "America doesn't like complexity in their films! They just want to be entertained!" The movie, while still very underrated, would have been such a better film if the original twist had been left in.
