		<description>It&#039;s understandable that Dee was nominated for her 12 minutes on screen in American 
Gangster. Kim Stanley won for only 10 minutes on screen (The Right Stuff) so this isn&#039;t a 
record.

Dee has always turned in fine performances over many years and the Academy 
frequently votes for someone with an acting record like that, not that I agree with the 
practice.

Besides, the Academy never recognized her late husband, Ossie Davis, and they 
sometimes try  to make up for omissions like these.</description>
