If someone equates pro-choice to killing babies then they are anti-abortion (I won’t say pro-life because in no way am I anti-life) and if they can’t make that distinction to there child then their child will believe that the president ACTUALLY kills babies. And I have few preconceptions as I am purely an outsider (British) but the presidential election is important worldwide. Also I like that a discussion can go on even at FilmSchoolRejects as it affects everyone. I stand by my Palin statement though.

Well I believe the parent is avoiding talk of abortion. Obama is pro-right to choice and in some circles that’s the same as being a “baby killer.” I’m Pro-Choice, but can still put aside any preconceptions and at least try to understand other people. Something that, I’m afraid, is exceedingly rare.

Exactly. BIG McCain mistake because him as a president is crap but still safer than Bush but in order to make my point I’ll repeat something I saw on the news last night. The BBC interviewed a bunch of ‘hockey moms’ to see how they’d vote and one mother said the following;

“My son came to me yesterday and said ‘my friend told me Barack Obama kills babies, is that true?’ and I didn’t know what to say? Do I say yes or no? So I said I’ll tell you when your older.”

Really? You didn’t know what to say? SAY NO. Of course Obama doesn’t kill babies. If your child thinks McCain kills babies you SAY NO. My god don’t breed an idiot. Oh and if they say George W Bush kills babies you say. . .ummm. . .well yes but only Iraqi babies. . .

And although I personally wouldn’t start comparing her to OBL, I will say that GWB looks more and more like a Nobel winning physicist in her presence… ;-)
