I agree with this. Terminator salvation sucked and i really love this series. I dont want it to crash and burn. But something i would like to see happen also is for the director to bring arnold schwarzenegger back into the flim. Cause honestly, how do u make a terminator without "the terminator" himself?

Are you f***ing serious ? he did bring the bad ass john conner ! The conner's from the tv series and the old films could never pull it off ! In a post-apocalyptic where you have lost off friends and family and normality of life i think you would act the way john conner did in terminator 4 ! Come on he took out a few terminators in that film ! Bale is good choice ! dont blame the actor blame the director !

McG and Mostow should be kept away from this franchise. T3 was a parody of T2. It became feel-good ridiculous. The only good that came of T3 is that it finally ended and finally started the future war. Now, McG does a PG-13, half-assed future war so kids who haven’t seen the first two films can go to the theater? Negative. The future war is what real Terminator fans want to see. They want to see the full extent of Skynet’s technological horror and they want to see the humans triumph over the machines, just like Kyle Reese spoke of in T1. NO MORE time travel-based stories. Time travel should be a footnote when the Terminators go through and getting Reese to the time travel room in Skynet complex. The studio needs to realize two things: 1. The series will end, not go on endlessly. 2. Rated R only. The future war is dismal. T5 & T6 should be action/sci-fi/horror movies like T1 was. T4 should have been Kyle Reese’s story, and John Connor shouldn’t have been introduced until he raided the camp to save Kyle at the end of T4. T5 should be about Connor dealing with his army (like Capt. Perry – see T1 interrogation of Kyle) and Kyle while discovering the horrors of Skynet’s efforts to make more effective killing machines. T6 should be about the success of the humans destroying Skynet and discovering the time displacement equipment(which Connor obviously knew about). No Star, Blair, or Barnes. I’d be in favor of ignoring the damage T3 did by doing away with Connor’s wife & the T-X. So much that needs to be done and so few willing to do it.

I think it would be better if in the end of Terminator 6 John Connor is finally killed in the past by the Terminators and magically SkyNet is wiped out because (as they flash through future events while he is dying we see that...) his 2nd in command actually ends up being the leader of the resistance and is a better leader than John Connor ever was. In other words, they were wrong the whole time about John Connor being the sh*t. THAT would be an awesome ending.

in terminator salvation john connor hadnt become the badass john we all want to see but no doubt he will be in the next films! salvation was great in showing how john got his battle scarred face and how he learned things that we saw in terminator 1 it was great that the director dug deeper into the background of the main characters!

Bottom Line. give us a movie about the Judgement Day war. Everyone's been waiting for it since the flashbacks in T1 and T2. We thought we might get it in T3. We didn't. We thought that T4 was a given. It wasn't. Stop messing around with over-complicated time-travel, plots tripping over their own complex continuum and make a movie about the JUICE! How frustrating was it when the resistance attacked 'Camp Terminator' at the end of T4, and 95% of the Terminators appeared to be away on weekend leave? We just wanna see Humans and Skynet duke it out, cut and dried.

You're forgeting something that everyone forgot in Vietnam and Iraq though. Namely that the reason you can't bomb a stone age culture back to where it's already at is not because they are primitve but rather because -someone outside- (China, Russia, Iran) are supplying the high tech goodies to fight with. For much the same reason, guerilla wars are only hard to fight so long as you have a restrictive set of rules of engagement that keeps you from killing anyone that isn't a combatant. When the ROE basically is freefire: "If it moves, shoot it." then it becomes impossible to hide goats among the sheep because, to Skynet, 'it's all mutton'.
Finally, while I have no respect for the inclusion of ex-military into the film, I would expect John to have an organization which supplied him with some kind of high-tech logistics, courtesy of his mom. Especially, if T5 turns out to be a reboot, Kyle should bring back flash memory sticks with all -kinds- of Skynet tech blueprints. And that should in turn mean that _Tech.Com_ is a 1990s technology trading company that makes Sarah rich and gives John bunkers and atomic powered APCs and miniature UAVs and and and. All things which Skynet -will- develop. But hasn't yet. Without these kinds of advantages, Connor is going to be easy to track down and bluntly, he will _starve_ before he can go to war (image 20 ton pallets of MREs). More importantly, Skynet will be virtually unreachable because it will be able to attack from the air, put down squads of endos to do the clean up. And then simply pick up and fly off. With NO WAY for Connor to know where they are. An empty continent is a big place to get lost in.

You guys all forget, the best way to counteract a technologically superior enemy is to undermine their technological advantages... thus big massive huge battles are best avoided, and small ambush, and hit and run guerrilla warfare tactics work best. That is the way such a fight against machines would best be conducted. It is asymmetrical warfare 101... Constantly change and evolve tactics and also make all action quick, in and out, under 2 minutes before they can counter attack. Also prevents plans from spreading out, as planning is not massive, intel needs are minimal, and resources can often be improvised.

An interesting idea I would like to see explored, what is going on elsewhere in the world? Is skynet running internationally like it is seen in T3? In T4 it showed survivors elsewhere, would be nice to also explore into that a bit more. Would be great to see fight scenes, as well as a development in terms of weaponry....

Why is the #1 demand "Christian Bale"? Ridiculous to demand a particular actor if you don't even know yet what needs to be displayed. Demanding Arnold Schwarzenegger to return is far more reasonable (but not practical probably) because for many he is the embodiment of the original Terminator.

The demand you missed out on is Innovation. T1 and T2 were so innovative. T3 and T4 were so Hollywood-predictable and mediocre (say no to Jonathan Mostow.)

1. Ask and answer some questions. So it's not just chinese food action. Why would Connor send Reese back with so little data that his death is so easily avoided but happens anyway? Why 'save Sarah' when the T800 is what makes Cyberdine and Skynet happen? IMO, Connor has to have a REASON to want to repeat history. Maybe Skynet disappears and he needs to find out where (in time) it went.
2. Infrastructure, Infrastructure, INFRASTRUCTURE!
Skynet can't open a GD doorknob without assistance. That assistance as well as the ability to make more, has to exist from BEFORE THE WAR. Using a new class of zombie humans (the real reason for Marcus' brain implant) would help. But we still need to see how the machines build machines and gather resources to make more. And where Skynet actually is that it has clean, cool, air and electricity.
3. Weather. A blackened North America will be hot as a griddle in the daylight and as cold as death at night. Except near the coasts. Where the building up of high pressure allows HUGE rainstorms to come ashore. And by their LIGHTNING humans can see to fight 'IR equipped' (thermal imaging people = sees hot stuff) Terminators because the rain also cools the ground down to unithermal conditions and raises a lot of mist. At the same time, with a full nuclear exchange the UV index should go way up as the ozone is cooked off by all the chemicals from burning cities. Nobody should go above ground in daylight because 20-30 minutes of 45 MEDS exposure will KILL YOUR ASS DEAD.
5. No more U.S. Military. Skynet launched depressed trajectory shots which took out all the CONUS military in T3. We should be back to redneck engineering and a brave rebels without a uniform.
6. Multiple Infiltrators. So that just as soon as you think you have one zeroed, a whole bunch more go red-eyed.
7. Some kind of strategic ideal. Where Connor is headed and what he needs to do to get there. Not just random battle action for it's own sake.
8. HUMAN INFRASTRUCTURE!
So that a mine shaft is converted to grow strawberries and you see Terminator skeletons being converted into power generators or optics for rifles. And there are tanning rooms and med bays and algae to make oil and then gasoline from. A mix of prewar, postwar and Skynet systems, including such primitivisms as rain catches and mirrors to duct sunlight.

The next one should be mostly about Kile Reese. It would make since to have his (by now) twelve year old friend Star killed in action by one of the machines to feed into his detached trauma he carries with him when he later meets Sarah Conner. Show more of how he grows to admire (worship) John Conner. Maybe even have more liberations of the prisoner camps since humans are probably a valueable commodity to come by. This would also give the resistance better access to the phase plasma weaponry. Maybe this one could time laps over a few years span from around a few years after salvation left off, to when Reese is sent to 84. find a good look alike of Michael Biehn, or even use him in such a fast rapid scene as to hide his advancement in age. Make more battle scenes at night. It is already mentioned by Kile in the first one that that is when they do most of their fighting to evade the HKs. That probably explains why the first two film's battle scenes look like they did. Show more of the earlier terminator models like the rare t-200- 500s rusty, corroaded, and obsolete, yet still determined to do their fair share of killing too. No more jet fighters. The HKs own the skys.

As far as the sixth one is concerned, the T-850 already mentioned that John and Kate's kids play an important role in the even more distant future, and as you probably noticed Kate is already pregnant in Salvation. What is their role if Skynet was already explained to have been shut down after the original and second T-800, Kile Reese, T-1000, T-850, and the TX were all sent through to the past at different times? What if Skynet selected a TX to be sentient, and loaded with all of Skynet information in it's system to harbor and be redownload for conservation reasons, and so the war that was believed to be over really isn't. This would allow us as an audience to not have so much certainty of our own future once again. Sort of the helpless feeling left with us at the ending of the first film.

More Arnold. Period. A terminator movie is nothing without Arnold, [SPOILER] and when I finally saw that CGI-Arnold in Salvation I was actually quite satisfied with the movie. Second is: Time Travel. It's really important that we actually at least get Kyle Reese send back in time in the second movie, (think about if all time travels should take place only in the third?) Third is: Scenery. I agree with many others, that we should see greater battles, with bigger armies, taking place in the huge ruined cities in the night. There was to much daylight in Salvation ;)
