Officially Cool

Just when you thought you couldn’t get enough of Brian Gibson’s “Officially Cool” brigade, I swoop in to take his place on a random Tuesday. Yes, you read that right — I have something very cool to share with all of you. Deal with it.

Today’s Officially Cool topic is directly related to a film that doesn’t come out until next week, but we have a feeling that you are thinking about it — maybe just a little bit. That film is The Dark Knight, probably the most anticipated film of the year. And according to a review from a very reputable name in film criticism, it is “a truly earnest adaptation that in many ways exceeds even the brilliance of the work upon which it is based.” With that in mind, I am happy to present to you some pretty cool Dark Knight related merch, which comes to us from the folks over at Neca Online. These are called “Head Knockers”, and they are creepy-realistic:

These bobblehead like figures sell for $27.99 for the set over at ShopAFX.com, which isn’t bad considering how freakishly realistic they are. Honestly, I would have expected to pay more for them.

If you have any suggestions for our Officially Cool feature, please send an email over to brian@filmschoolrejects.com.
