Officially Cool: Recut Trailers

There is nothing funnier than taking movies that people love, and making them look like something you’d hate. Imagine if The Shining had been a happy-go-lucky family film, or what if Top Gun was a love story between Maverick and Ice Man? Ever struggled with how you’d feel about those movies? Well now you have a chance to see what some of these classics would have looked like in the wrong hands. Some random you-tubers have cut original trailers and film footage to create ridiculous depictions of such films as The Shining, Top Gun, The Terminator and Red Eye. I have stumbled onto these pretty regularly, and I tried to assemble the best of the best for you, our loyal readers. Enjoy…

  • I've seen that Shining trailer at least 20 times and it makes me giggle with glee every time. My only comment would be that the "Red Eye" trailer's pacing is way off.

    Have you searched "Brokeback Mountain trailer" in YouTube. Almost every movie has a "Brokeback" version--Harry Potter, LotR, Spider-Man, Back to the Future, even Battlestar Galactica. The best is this Tremors one--http://youtube.com/watch?v=GcpfqP60lNY
