Officially Cool: Marvel Zombies Movie

Posted by Brian C. Gibson (brian@filmschoolrejects.com) on February 22, 2008

A couple of years ago Marvel rolled out the coolest comic series ever, Marvel Zombies. It was a smash hit, and sold out everywhere. You can still buy multiple variant hardcover variants of the series. So what is the next step? A Marvel Zombies Movie of course.

Now I know that this isn’t exactly a trailer for a big budget studio production, but it is done damn well by the makers. I would love to see a Marvel Zombies movie, even if it were animated. The story is awesome, and the concept is extremely amusing. I mean, think about the idea of Spider-Man eating Mary Jane. If you haven’t checked out the comics, make sure to pick up a trade version of the entire collection. For now, enjoy the trailer. Make sure to watch past the credits…59

Neil how is someone so nerdy capable of declaring something officially cool? I think you need to have an independant oversight committee (maybe the three headed monster of cool from SW INC) that can approve and provide oversight to your officially cool archive?

PS: stop stealing our bits.

I think about spiderman eating mary jane all the time. I think about lots of people, including me, eating mary ja- T.. I mea… Yes this movie would be good. I wouldn’t be surprised if marvel made an animated one.

Damn that was fing creepy for a trailer. The creepiest part is the visceral sound of Spidey eating Mary Jane’s guts. Just the sound of her being picked up apart made my gut twitch like the warning shot of a hangover vomit.
