Officially Cool: Iron Man Life-Sized Bust
Officially Cool By Neil Miller on May 1, 2008 | Be the First To Comment
This could very well be the coolest and most expensive item featured this week as part of our Officially Cool Iron Man Week. It comes to us from the fine folks at Sideshow Collectibles. It is the Life-size Iron Man bust of the suit designed for the movie by Stan Winston.
Having seen the film, I can tell you that while Robert Downey Jr. is clearly the star of the film, the Mark III suit comes in a close second. This thing is absolutely beautiful, and I am sure any die hard Iron Man fan would agree. Check out some of the specs, direct from the Sideshow Collectibles website:
Iron Man has been captured in 1:1 scale in his unique powered armor, taken directly from the molds used to create the film costume. The bust is cast in high-quality fiberglass, hand finished and hand painted to exacting standards, and features LED light-up glowing eyes (battery operated). The Life-Size Iron Man Bust is sure to be the centerpiece of any collection, and the perfect complement to any office or home theater.
This one is wicked cool, but be prepared to drop a pretty penny on it — you know it’s worth it, though. For more details, click the banner below to head over to the Sideshow Collectibles product page:
