Zack and Miri’s Trailer Due in front of Pineapple Express
Movie News By Neil Miller on February 25, 2008 | Be the First To Comment
As promised, we’ve been keeping our ear’s to the grindstone on Kevin Smith’s upcoming project Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which began filming in Pittsburgh earlier this month. The film, which stars Seth Rogen (Knocked Up) and Elizabeth Banks (The 40 Year Old Virgin), is about two long time friends who decide to make an adult film in order to raise some much needed cash. Think The Amateurs, only good.
Today we picked up an update from our friends at NewsAskew, who coincidentally are also following the project. They have posted a list of confirmed facts about the project, including confirmation from Kevin Smith that Jonah Hill will not be making an appearance. As well, they have confirmed that while Kevin has been editing away throughout the shoot, we shouldn’t expect a trailer until August. Hopes are though, that the film’s official trailer will debut in July in front of Seth Rogen’s other 2008 comedy, Pineapple Express.
This also could mean that Zack and Miri will end up with a release date in September or October. This is all speculation of course, but here’s holding out hope that it will be soon. Interestingly enough, this all runs right by the San Diego Comic Con, which is held during the last week in July. Should we expect some footage there, where Kevin Smith is a perennial guest? Let’s hope so.
