At this rate, every single member of the NBC TV lineup will be in the Alvin and the Chipmunks film series. Need proof? Chuck’s Zachary Levi is down for the film sequel.

Who isn’t pumped for Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel!? We know that Zachary Levi is, as he has signed on to play the cousin of Jason Lee’s character, Dave. And with any luck, Tracey Morgan will play their long lost relative. Don’t put it past him. Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney will return to provide the chipmunks’ voices. Thank God for that. When I think of Alvin and the Chipmunks, the first words that come to mind are Long, Gubler and McCartney.

The film is a followup to the original, which made 217 million dollars in North America. In other news, the average IQ of Americans is dropping every day. Could there be a connection?

The Hollywood Reporter, who was nice enough to offer the news, also is reporting that the sequel will introduce the Chipmunks’ rivals, the Chipettes — Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor. These furry females were introduced in the 1980s animated TV series. Oh man! Is there a way to pre-order these tickets now? Screw Watchmen, this is the film to see in IMAX. And that concludes our sarcastic segment of the day.

Are you going to see Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel? Is it possible to hire Alvin and his friends to kill Paul Blart: Mall Cop?

  • I think I'm getting to Adam.
  • Haha, It's hard to find good company.
  • Alvin and Blart. Fight to the death! Maybe a could of the guys from the "____ Movie" series can jump in and hey! Like that, most satisfying fight ever.
  • Yes, we will put this on pay per view and reap the benefits. And when one is left standing, we shall drop an atomic bomb to ensure none of them make it out alive.
