Eric Brevig has signed on to direct a forthcoming 3-D animated flick starring Yogi Bear! Woo-hoo! Yeah! Right on!
Wait.
Who the hell is Eric Brevig? According to The Hollywood Reporter Brevig’s “a longtime visual effects supervisor whose credits include The Day After Tomorrow and Men in Black.” His sole feature directing credit is Journey to the Center of the Earth: the Brendan Fraser one, not the old one.
At one point, Surf’s Up director Ash Brannon was attached to Yogi, but Warners decided to go 3-D on this one and found Brevig a better fit.
