Yes, you guessed it: More Oscar Reactions!

As much as I beat up on Clint Eastwood in my Oscar Nominations post earlier in the week, the man is a great director. And I am sure once I see Letters from Iwo Jima, I will have ditched my jaded approach to him being nominated. But for now, I am still a bit upset - though Clint is very happy, as you can see from his statement below regarding his nomination:

I want to thank the Academy for recognizing both Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers. It is particularly gratifying that Letters from Iwo Jima was included as a Best Picture nominee. When we were working on Flags, I knew there was another part of the story that deserved to be told, but I could not have imagined where we’d be today. I share these nominations with our entire creative team.

Really Clint? You didn’t know you would be here today, with nominations o’ plenty? You are getting too much sun, man.
