If it wasn’t my job, I wouldn’t be watching any of this stuff, because I’ve already seen 4 bits in a comedy movie that probably only has 20. However, the one thing I’m curious about is how the film will market itself Green Band style. These TV spots should give an idea, but they feature pretty much everything we’ve already seen.

So there’s my answer – take a bunch of stuff we’ve already seen and clip it to be general-audience-friendly.

Nothing really all that exciting. Plus, I worry that I’m losing the shock-factor from seeing all this stuff in advance. Plus, plus, Borat’s manager Ken Davitian once guilt-tripped me into eating a French Dip sandwich. But that’s a different story.

Still, I’ve got a ton of faith in Sacha Baron Cohen to deliver things even more shocking than what’s found in the trailer. That’s sort of the challenge with his movies – get people into the theater because of how shocking he is and then make them realize that there will hasn’t come close to being tested yet. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Which is how Bruno probably likes it.

Brüno hits theaters on July 10, 2009.

Couldn’t resist. What do you think?
