Variety is reporting this evening that Josh Brolin (Milk) and Anthony Hopkins are both joining up with Woody Allen’s upcoming ensemble film, which will begin shooting in London this summer. However, that is all the information that we have at this moment, as the plot and title are being “kept under wraps” by the 73-year old director.

Wait… what?

The way this is reported leads us to believe that Allen is somehow being very secretive about his project, as if he’s working on the next Batman movie or something. So either Woody Allen is assuming that we all don’t already know that his movie will be about two women and their sexy encounters with various nefarious men (at least one of which is overtly Jewish) or Variety is playing their sensationalist card in order to get people riled up. Damn you, Variety. Anyway, the point is that Woody Allen continues to make movies and attract big talent. Which is why we continue to see his movies on a “hear and there” basis. Now if only he could find a film that includes Scarlett Johansson (pictured above, next to the pimp-slanting Allen) taking off her clothes.

Are you a fan of Woody Allen’s recent work?
