Heads up, fellow X-Men fans. The first photos of the sets for 20th Century Fox’s X-Men Origins: Wolverinehave been posted on Comingsoon.net. I haven’t been this excited since elementary school, when I traded with Kelly Mulligan for my first Wolverine Marvel Masterpiece comic card, ’92 Series.

Who feels me? Anyone?

Buildings for the “X-Men” spin-off are under construction in Queensboro and Deer Park Heights. The Deer Park Heights structure appears to be a log cabin overlooking lake Wakatipu. The crew has also been spotted erecting functional buildings such as a site office, security hut and those ever-charming portaloos. No word yet on whether they’re Royal Flushes or Scott’s Potts.

X-Men Origins: Wolverineis set to open on May 1st, 2009 and stars Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber. Gavin Hood directs.

Is it just me, or does the Queensboro building look like it could be made from Popsicle sticks? Oh well. I suppose everything can’t have an indestructible adamantium skeleton, can it? Take a look at the photos below:
