Watchmen Movie

On the sixth of every month from here until March 2009, Warner Brothers will be releasing one of 12 awesome behind the scenes video journals that will chronicle the production of one of the most anticipated graphic novel adaptations in history, Alan Moore’s Watchmen. Director Zack Snyder and crew are going to slowly take us through every aspect of production until we can’t handle it any more and we are compelled to just see the damn movie. Hopefully the timing will be right and we will reach our breaking point sometime around March 6, 2009, the release date of the film.

Last month’s video journal showed us the construction of the sets, while this months is all about costumes. For those not familiar with Watchmen, it is important to note that it is a story that takes place over a long period of time, chronicling the lives of real masked heroes from before the first World War to well into the height of the Cold War in the early 1980s. As you can imagine, this created some difficult times for the costume team, but as Costume Designer Michael Wilkinson shows us in the video below, they seem to have handled it quite well.
