Many syncretistic religions formed gnosticism. Gnosticism was rivaling against Christianity and gnosticism held itself better religion as Christianity was. Word gnosticism comes from Greek word gnosis, which means knowledge. Gnosticism had various effects, for instance, some Gnostics taught that divinity can be achieved through unity of the man and woman. This thought led some Gnostics to reach for divinity through sexual intercourse between the man and woman. There existed also some Gnostics, who abstained from sexual intercourse. When we know the fact that Gnostics held Christians as their enemies and that Gnostics held themselves better as Christians and that Gnostics wanted to show in every way that Gnosticism was better as Christianity, so Gnostics made so called gnostic gospels were they twisted, slandered and misrepresented the real gospels. Gnostics went so far in this misrepresent that they wrote “new gospels” by faking the real gospels. In these faked gospels Gnostics wrote that Jesus Christ was an ordinary man who has a sexual relationship with Mary Magdalene.<br><br><a href="http://koti.phnet.fi/elohim/marymagdalene.html" rel="nofollow">http://koti.phnet.fi/elohim/marymagdalene.html</a>

Whatever may be the line of argument about the marriage of Jesus. The Bloodline Movie sound very fictitious. Simply because if the Priory of Scion came into existence to guard a secret & if it is doing so for centuries, Then why would any of it's current member would reveal its secrets to anyone. While watching the movie, I had a feeling that its a hoax. May be because the huge success of THE DA VINCI CODE has given an idea for making such movies. The movie does not answer some questions at all & the director has not taken any efforts to really crosscheck the authenticity of many evidences like the parchments which are shown in the movie. More than documentary which should be aiming at revealing the dead secrets, it looks like a mere treasure hunt.

I completely agree with Flora history is a very biased thing. It can be changed and no one down the line the future would be able to prove that it has been changed. Also Billy the longevity of a subjecy does not verify wehter it is accurate. It can also not be considered the truth just because it is popular. Thats like saying macdonalds is the best place to eat becasue it is popular.

Just cause God hasn't destroyed them doesn't make them accurate either...Why does God let people suffer cause of free will? God could do alot of things but he doesn't. The bible is not much different from other books it's a story. Like you said yourself. You can't keep trying to argue your point you aren't going to make a believer out of everyone. You can keep preaching to me that Jesus was a gift to humankind but the fact still remains he was a man, a human just like you and I. Jesus being a man had needs...love being one of them and just cause you can't accept that he probably did have a wife and children doesn't mean he didn't have them. We will NEVER know the full history of an event or the life of a person, details will always gets lost along the way

Well, at the very least, the Gospel of Matthew had originally been writtten in Aramaic, which was later translated to Greek, so YES, what was originally written isn't what we know the Gospel to be today because it's no longer in Aramaic.

Had any of the Gospels been false, they were written early enough that people would have corrected errors or discredited them altogether. The four separate Gospels each tell about the ministry of Jesus with different emphasis on different events. Yet, they are, as many biblical scholars have pointed out over the ages, harmonious in that they don't stray from the main story.

The fact that we even KNOW about the Gospels after 2,000 years of people constantly setting out to destroy the word of God should tell the skeptic something about its authenticity.

After all, I'm reasonably sure that, had the words not been true, God would have seen to it that the Gospels had been destroyed LONG before now.

Jesus is the Cornerstone of Christianity; a faith that millions keep. The Bible provides us with four separate accounts of His life, His ministry, His death, His resurrection…. and His purpose.

What you have to remember is that these books weren't written until after Jesus' death. Mark was not a disciple of Jesus. Matthew and John may have been but it's been said that they didn't even write what is in the bible we know today. We can't be absolutely certain that the Gospels really were based on the testimony of their named authors.

Bill I said super human being. Obviously he existed as a human but there is no evidence that says he has super natural powers. We all now that Hercules has been mythologized to be a super human but we all know he wasn't. so why do we still believe that Jesus had super powers. If we can believe Jesus had super powers then what is stopping us from believing that Hercules had super strength. Also i have something to say that i have no evidence of backing up. This is just my own theory, the low end of society part is a fact by the way. The fact that Christianity started in the lower end of society(homeless, beggars, poor people, basically people that couldn't afford an education) should be a notice to anybody who has an education to understand how it spread. People without an education are easily impressed. Also Bill, just think. In the old pagan days when someone could do something extraordinary they would say he has been blessed by the gods or he is an offspring of the Gods, so what is so different about Jesus Christ. The truth is that Jesus Christ's abilities are being over exaggerated and we need to understand that if such a great person ever existed and that if God existed why do we live in a world filled with hatred and natural disasters and amputees. If this documentary shows that Jesus Christ can have children, that means he is not a immortal or a demigod or whatever, he is just a normal selfish human.

If we can believe Jesus had super powers then what is stopping us from believing that Hercules had super strength. Also i have something to say that i have no evidence of backing up. This is just my own theory, the low end of society part is a fact by the way. The fact that Christianity started in the lower end of society(homeless, beggars, poor people, basically people that couldn’t afford an education) should be a notice to anybody who has an education to understand how it spread. People without an education are easily impressed. Also Bill, just think. In the old pagan days when someone could do something extraordinary they would say he has been blessed by the gods or he is an offspring of the Gods, so what is so different about Jesus Christ. The truth is that Jesus Christ’s abilities are being over exaggerated and we need to understand that if such a great person ever existed and that if God existed why do we live in a world filled with hatred and natural disasters and amputees. If this documentary shows that Jesus Christ can have children, that means he is not a immortal or a demigod or whatever, he is just a normal selfish human.

Yet the Documentary is a continuation of the diffusion of truth. It is obvious that Jesus was married to Magdalene and they had an offspring. Many fatcs are there, its only we have to analyse them well. The Da vinci movie and novel have shed light in a more diplomatic way but truth is more deeper and harder, as the concept of vatican is based on lies. True christians are those who recognised the truth of Jesus as a married man, the Royal descent of the House of David to Mary Magdalene, the Royal descent of the House of Benjamin........... truth is more deeper, what is seen is only the tip of iceberg. oh mortal, do open your eyes

I don't believe Jesus was a "normal human being" like you and me, primarily because no mere mortal could have inspired the building of so many churches and other places of worship. It just doesn't make sense to build entire religions around a regular guy.

And if you attribute Jesus's continued "fame" (for lack of a better word) to the exaggerations of scholars and philosophers, don't you think they'd have picked someone of higher stature to be capable of all these miracles? Maybe a King or something?

I just find it hard to swallow that the exploits of a normal guy could create such a legacy as to survive over two millennia. Any normal guy would have been long forgotten and we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
