I've bought a copy of The Force Unleashed today and I love the game. I would love for another Star Wars movie, I don't know what this LA Times guy is talking about but the magic from the old trilogy is gone.

It's the future now. When Star Wars first came out in that time period, puppets looked ground breaking and droids made from plastic was the shizzle.

We're living in 2008 and those effects need to be pimped to atleast please the crowds. I ain't watching Star Wars if it's not digitally remastered, it's just not gonna cut it for me. I think LucasArts did great with the new Trilogy and I liked every piece of film from it, period.

The games can be a discussion apart from the movies, I agree, only Star Wars: Empire At War gave us something new and cool. Now that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was released I think they've again brough us something really incredible because the Force is what it is and we haven't seen those powers yet but if you follow up on the Lore in Star Wars, there have been Sith and Jedi that were able to destroy entire planets with their Force Powers, so I think that this game displays something new within the Star Wars universe and it fits really well into the whole Lore. It is interesting to know that Darth Vader is responsible for the Rebel Alliance, I also think it followed up on other Jedi that we haven't seen in the movies but who we know from the Lore. Shaak Ti is a great example of that (She officially died in Episode 3 but those scenes ended up in the trash can and didnt make the final cut.)

I think people should stop this crap about old trilogy bla bla... It's been done, it's old... get over it. People aren't as easy to entertain because technoligy is being developed at a faster speed then the Millenium Falcon can fly... so our demand and expectations grow with it.

The Force Unleashed was a master piece and Star Wars: The Clone Wars was great aswell and allowed kids and young viewers to get a feel of Star Wars aswell.

As long as this movie isn't a cartoon like The Clone Wars then I'm all for it. Of course this might agitate many fans who find the renumbering of the series annoying. Like for insatnce the original trilogy was 1,2,3 until the prequels when it became 4,5,6. If you add this movie in then the originals will be pushed to 5,6,7 and this is getting rather annoying. But then again I also feel that more in between films are needed to link the series together better. Rots left us hanging with Vaders turn to the dark side and Luke and Leias birth. By the time Anh opens Luke and Leia are adults, Obi-wans an old man and Vader has become the cool pimpin bad boy with the voice of James Earl Jones, that we all know and love. I think a few extra movies would help shape this series up a bit.

I thought Unleashed's greatest assset was the story, so it doesn't seem surprising that Lucasart's shotgun approach to finding some way to provide some positive lead in to 'A new hope' would eventually turn up something. While I think most die hard fans are going to be upset at the slight ret-coning of the formation of the rebel alliance I think it'd make a fairly decent movie.

Though I'd be much more excited about Kyle Katarn (Dark Forces) movies.

I played the game (and read the novel, AND the graphic novel, and have the "Art of..." book). I am a Star Wars geek. - The game itself was boring, but the story was good. It actually gave an interesting "twist" the the creation of the Rebel Alliance. (You only think you know the full story, but wait, there's more!) - Anyway, I'd be interested in an animated version direct to DVD. (Animated in a style different then the Clone Wars - something more realistic, something like the game animations) - Yes, It would just be like watching someone play the game, but if they flesh out the characters, add more dialog, well... it would be fun to watch. I dont think it's theater worthy, but as a disk, I'd buy it! (but then, i'm one of those nerds who buys anything Star Wars related. I cant help it, I cant let me childhood go!)

As long as George Lucas doesn't have anything to do with the story or script, I would see it, and it would be awesome.

If any Star Wars game was to be made into a movie, my vote would be for KOTOR.
Would really like to see Star Wars go in a darker direction.
