WB 2008 Preview: More of The Dark Knight

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on December 11, 2007

Honestly, there isn’t much more that can be said at this point about The Dark Knight. It seems that we get a new picture, a new viral site or a new trailer description every day. And with Warner Brothers’ 2008 preview, we got just that: two more awesome images from the flick. Why can’t we just have the trailer, already?

As you already know, The Dark Knight is the follow up to the 2005 hit Batman Begins. Now director Christopher Nolan and Batman-incarnate Christian Bale are back for a second round, this time with Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain) stepping in as The Joker and Aaron Eckhart (Thank You for Smoking) taking on the role of Harvey Dent. As I predicted many moons ago, this has been one of the most watched productions in the history of film — and certainly in the history of the web. It is as if those of us who write about movies have nothing better to do than dig up new dirt on the production at the pleasure of our readers — oh, and we spend all day posting new pictures of this guy…

The Dark Knight will be in theaters on July 18, 2008. You can also catch the trailer in front of I Am Legend, which releases this Friday (Note: It will probably also be online some time this week.)
