Watchmen Video Journal: It’s All in the Details
Behind the Scenes By Neil Miller on December 7, 2008 | (6) Comments
Can you believe that we have now gone through 9 of the 12 Watchmen video journals, leaving us a mere 4 months away from the release of one of the most anticipated comic book films ever? I know that if I am as excited as I am — which is pretty excited — then there must be some of you out there who have visions of Dr. Manhattan crawling around in their heads just about every day. And for all of you mega fans, the kind who will be getting dressed up for the midnight show, the folks at Omelete have posted this month’s video journal. It focuses on Set Designer Alex McDowell, Prop Master Jimmy Chow and the countless departments that put blood, sweat and tears into making the world of the Watchmen come alive:
I’m not sure about all of you, but I am constantly in awe of the size of such a production. We all know that these things cost millions of dollars and require the work of hundreds of people, but we often underestimate what goes into making our favorite films. This thought alone gives weight to these Watchmen video journals, as they’ve not only helped spread the word about the film, but they’ve also given fans a ton of insight into the filmmaking process.
Watchmen hits theaters on March 6, 2009.
