Watchmen Movie LogoI have a feeling that between now and March 6, 2009, the day Zack Snyder’s Watchmen hits theaters, I will run out of puns related to the word watch. Someone is going to be watching the watch that watches the assets from the Watchmen movie at least once a week from now until then, and its going to be tough for me, the guy who comes up with the titles. Thankfully, that time has not yet come and I am still full of punny Watchmen goodness.

And speaking of Watchmen goodness, here are the high resolution versions of the character posters released at Comic-Con in San Diego just last weekend. Enjoy the big versions by utilizing the clicking feature of your mouse on the images below.

Carla Gugino as Silk Spectre

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The ComedianBilly Crudup as Dr. ManhattanPatrick Wilson as Nite OwlJackie Earl Haley as RorschachMalin Ackerman as Silk Spectre II

Which Watchmen character are you most looking forward to watching?

i..........did not click on the Dr Manhattan one. For obvious reasons.
  • I'm most excited about The Comedian in Vietnam, raping Silk Spectre and being an overall badass.

A very close second is Rorschach simply because of the mask, his moral absolutism and I just wanna watch him break some guy's finger.
  • I love the posters, probably will end up getting at least one or two, but they definitely could have chosen a better illustration of Dr. Asshattan, I mean Manhattan.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out; Not that I'm a BIG fan of the Watchmen, I did read about the first 10-15 pages in a bookstore around when V for Vendetta came out; I found myself VERY interested, and couldn't put the book down; but Had to tear myself away. So... I'll still be 'surprised' by the film when it comes out; and it looks Awesome - can't wait...!
