Last night Quentin Tarantino took stopped by Fox’s American Idol to do, whatever it is that he does. To be honest, we didn’t watch Idol because we were busy doing other stuff. But if you were watching then you probably saw a new clip from Tarantino’s upcoming film Inglourious Basterds, which stars Brad Pitt as the leader of a rogue U.S. platoon in WWII France who is in the business of killin’ Nazis. And from what we hear — or at least what we’ve been told by the studio sources who sent us the following clip — the clip that was shown last night was a cut a little short. So we’ve uncovered the full clip for your viewing pleasure below, including a first look at Mike Myers as General Ed Fenech .

Inglourious Basterds hits theaters on August 21, 2009.

You can watch this for free online at http://UserSet.com theres a lot of sites that have you fill out a survey like this one does but this is the only one out there that I've seen that actually offers anything.

Having seen most of his films, I am uneasy at the thought of Tarantino tackling WW1. If you can’t get my meaning, think in these terms…How would your average American react to the prospect Monty Python directing a film about the American Revolution? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti US and some of Tarantino’s films are highly entertaining, but is his genre of filmmaking and what he represents appropriate to the sheer scale of complexity of WW1? More importantly what will Tarantino do (if God forbids he goes Death Proof or Planet Terror) for the memory of WW1 to the younger generations? Here’s hoping he pulls a highly crafted and thoughtful rabbit out of the hat!
  • Sorry I meant WWII.
  • Quentins territory! Hes back! Check out my bastards!
  • yip, hes back!

I loved that song in the beginning with that wicked drum beat! It reminds me of the Kill Bill theme, does anyone know the song name or if it's gonna be part of the score?
  • Don't like Tarantino's personality at all. Casting Eli Roth and Mike Myers seems like a pair of mistakes. Time will tell. I'll definitely check this bitch out in theaters.

It dosen't matter if you don't like his personality. WHO ARE YOU?? Seriously you people like to second guess Tarantino like your opinion on his casting choices and what movies he makes are retarded. Get your own movie career and make movies the way YOU WANT TO and shut up already.
  • I can't decide which reply I want to use, so I'm going to use them all.
    1. Robert Fure is my pseudonym. My real name is Steven Spielberg, maybe you've heard of me.
    2. You need to know a few things about me. First, I get paid to bring a bad attitude to work, second I get paid in trail mix and three, I fucking love trail mix.
    3. You've shown me the path. I will get a movie career!
    4. Neither Eli Roth nor Mike Myers can act convincingly. So, yeah, casting them is risky. He cast Roth because that's his friend, not because the guy can act.
    5. I honor and respect your opinion.

You need to know that I'm never one to shy away from a chance to trade quips and sling barbs via the internet, so with that said.....
    1. Who's Steven Speilberg? I knew a Jewish guy who lived on my block with the last name Speilberg he was a splendid man.
    2. Trail mix must be "code" for penis.
    3. Also, movie career must be "code" for well endowed man to bone me.
    4. Mike Myers was good in the movie 54, where he played a guy who also loved "trail mix" in his anus.
    5. If he wants to cast Eli Roth because he's his friend that's HIS CHOICE, Hollywood has always been a town that thrives on nepotism. Why wouldn't you want to enter into a partnership with someone who you know well and like? That's what your father did when he married your sister.
    6. I truly cherish your opinion, for you are a wise person.
