Watch This: The Dark Knight – The Sound of Anarchy
Behind the Scenes By Neil Miller on January 6, 2009 | (8) Comments
As we continue to trudge through awards season 2008, it is important not to lose sight of some of the “other” categories in the Oscar line-up. Two of my favorite oft overlooked categories are Sound Design and Original Score. Lets face it, I’m a big fan of a movie that delivers a great audible experience along with some brilliant visuals. And when I look back through this past year, one film easily rises above the rest in the realm of soundtrack: The Dark Knight. The following video, which was found by the fine gents over at The Playlist, is one of The Dark Knight’s DVD special features entitled “The Sound of Anarchy.” It gives us a behind the soundboard look at the creation of The Joker’s theme (by James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer), an integral piece of the puzzle in the creation of one of 2008′s most iconic characters. Have a look for yourself below.
